We help people in The Gap with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Chiropractic care aims to restore movement to the spine, reduce pressure on irritated nerves, and support the body’s natural healing ability. If your lower back pain is disc-related, spinal decompression may help.

Lower Back Pain

At Spine Studios, we use a range of evidence-informed techniques to support disc healing and relieve pressure on affected nerves. We often use spinal decompression therapy to treat disc injuries.

Disc Injuries & Sciatica

At Spine Studios, we tailor your care to your specific neck condition and comfort level. We may also refer for further imaging to ensure the most accurate diagnosis and co-management of care.

Neck Pain

At Spine Studios, we take a holistic approach to injury recovery by addressing both the injury itself and any underlying issues that may have contributed to the injury in the first place.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Your chiropractor will fully assess you to determine if you may benefit from spinal decompression therapy. Some conditions may not be suitable for this type of treatment such as very acute disc lesions, severe osteoporosis, spinal fractures, certain cancers, advanced spinal instability or recent spinal surgery.

  • Not at all. You are free to see a chiropractor on your own accord. However, if your GP decides that chiropractic care is the best option for you, your GP can provide you with up to 5 EPC (enhanced primary care) visits which are covered by Medicare.

  • ‘Remarkably’ according to a New Zealand study.

The New Zealand Government published an objective study of chiropractic. Many issues were studied, including cost effectiveness, chiropractic education and training, safety issues, and patient satisfaction.

Among other things, the resulting 377 page document concluded that chiropractic would have a positive influence on the health of a country.

The commission investigated two safety issues that had been commonly raised by chiropractic critics. The first being the safety of chiropractic spinal adjustments, and the second, the notion that seeking chiropractic care delays medical treatment. After extensive inquiry, the researchers found both safety concerns to be unfounded. Because of the lack of evidence to the contrary, the commissioners determined chiropractic care to be remarkably safe.
