Chiropractic Techniques We Use

Diversified Manual Adjustments: This is one of the most commonly used chiropractic techniques. Diversified adjustments involve precise manual movements to restore joint motion, relieve pain, and improve spinal function. This technique is effective for a wide range of spinal and extremity complaints.

Spinal Decompression Therapy: Spinal decompression is a non-surgical technique used to reduce pressure on spinal discs and nerves. Through gentle, controlled traction, this therapy aims to reduce disc bulges, promote healing, improve blood flow, and relieve symptoms such as sciatica, numbness, and pain. It's especially beneficial for chronic disc conditions. For a more in-depth understanding of Spinal Decompression Therapy, what to expect and how it may benefit you, click here.

Drop Piece Adjustments: Drop piece tables use a sectioned mechanism that gently drops away during the adjustment, allowing for a lighter, targeted approach to spinal correction. It’s particularly well-suited for those needing a more gentle treatment.

Activator Method: Using a small hand-held instrument, the Activator delivers low-force, controlled impulses to specific joints. This method is often used for elderly patients, those with osteoporosis, or anyone preferring a non-manual technique.

Mobilisation Therapy: For patients who require a gentler approach, mobilisation involves slower, controlled movements to improve joint motion without a high-velocity adjustment. It's useful in cases of acute pain, stiffness, or post-injury recovery.

Soft Tissue Therapy: Alongside spinal care, we often include muscle and soft tissue release techniques to support mobility and reduce muscular tension. This may include manual trigger point therapy or stretching techniques to improve flexibility and function.

Additional Services

Exercise & Rehabilitation: Approximately 80% of our patients are prescribed tailored rehabilitation exercises to support their recovery and maintain progress between visits. These exercises may focus on mobility, core stability, or strengthening the muscles surrounding an injured area.

Co-Management & Referrals: We regularly co-manage cases with GPs, physiotherapists, and specialists where appropriate. If required, we may refer for imaging such as MRI or x-rays to gain a clearer clinical picture and guide your care more effectively.
